Hoymiles deploys liquid-cooled C&I storage in Haikou and Guangzhou
Two industrial-park installations use 11 and six HoyUltra 261A units respectively, combining load management, liquid cooling and site-specific dispatch.
From coastal Haikou to manufacturing-focused Guangzhou, commercial and industrial businesses have different operating characteristics but increasingly demanding requirements for electricity costs, energy efficiency and supply reliability. Hoymiles has recently deployed its C&I storage solution at the American Industrial Village in Haikou, Hainan, and Meixing Industrial Park in Guangzhou, Guangdong, installing 11 and six HoyUltra 261A fully liquid-cooled integrated storage units respectively. Flexible dispatch, efficient operation and protection are designed around each site's energy requirements, providing a route to more economical and detailed energy management for businesses in southern China.
Two cities, different requirements
Adapting to local conditions to obtain greater value from every unit of electricity.
At Guangzhou's Meixing Industrial Park, steel-structure processing equipment operates continuously, creating a dense and sustained production load. In Haikou's American Industrial Village, daily park operations, property facilities and support services likewise depend on stable and reliable electricity.
Despite their different activities, both sites face similar energy challenges: high daytime operating loads increase grid-electricity costs, while low-price overnight periods are underused. Demand-related charges under the two-part tariff add further pressure. As the low-carbon transition progresses, both sites are seeking more economical electricity use and more detailed energy management.
Hoymiles configured storage capacity for the particular load characteristics of each park:
American Industrial Village, Haikou, Hainan: 11 HoyUltra 261A fully liquid-cooled C&I storage units, with a project rating of 1,375 kW / 2,871 kWh.
Meixing Industrial Park, Guangzhou, Guangdong: six HoyUltra 261A fully liquid-cooled C&I storage units, with a project rating of 750 kW / 1,566 kWh.
The scale differs, but the approach is the same: storage flexibly schedules electricity to connect business demand more effectively with tariff periods.

Using tariff differences to improve energy value
Both projects charge during low-price overnight periods and discharge in an orderly way during daytime peak and standard-price periods according to demand, reducing purchases of higher-priced grid electricity. Charging and discharging strategies can also adjust to lunchtime shutdowns, equipment breaks and other changes in actual load to improve the use of stored electricity.
Demand management provides another cost-control opportunity
Alongside tariff arbitrage, storage can help manage maximum demand and optimise the load profile, creating opportunities to manage basic electricity charges. The solution does not require changes to existing production schedules or routine park operations, integrating storage into daily energy management and supporting economic benefits through stable operation.

Four capabilities for varied operating conditions
C&I sites place demands on operating efficiency, space use and environmental suitability. HoyUltra 261A combines intelligent controls, liquid cooling, compact layout and protection to address those site requirements.
Intelligent control and measured dispatch: the product uses a three-phase, four-wire design for mainstream C&I applications. Hoymiles' in-house EMS supports flexible reverse-power control, with storage discharge power following changes in the customer's load in real time. If reverse power is detected, output can be adjusted rapidly to match demand while supporting electrical safety. In-house PCS, EMS and cloud-platform development coordinates equipment operation and cloud management, supporting timed charging/discharging, load adjustment and detailed energy management.
Efficient operation: HoyUltra 261A uses intelligent liquid-cooling temperature control to manage operating temperatures and reduce auxiliary consumption. The company states an equivalent cycle efficiency exceeding 88.4% and says intelligent temperature control can reduce energy consumption by 30%. Lower operating losses and improved electricity utilisation are intended to reduce energy waste during charging and discharging and support long-term operating economics.

Compact layout: equipment arrangement affects project delivery where industrial-park space is valuable. HoyUltra 261A has front-access maintenance and supports cabinets placed side by side, reducing the need for maintenance passages between units. Hoymiles states that the station footprint can be reduced by approximately 35%. This arrangement improves land use while retaining more space for the park's production and business activities.

Humidity and heat protection: Haikou and Guangzhou both experience hot, humid conditions. The fully liquid-cooled design supports an operating range of -30°C to 55°C and, according to the company, operation without derating at 50°C ambient temperature. The product is described as accommodating 0–100% relative humidity, with IP55 protection for the complete unit, IP65 for the PCS module and C4 corrosion protection to address moisture and salt-spray exposure.
From millisecond-level control and low-loss liquid cooling to compact arrangement and environmental protection, Hoymiles links these product characteristics to site requirements, aiming to help different industries manage energy more economically, efficiently and precisely.
Professional service and long-term value
The two installations reflect customer confidence in Hoymiles' product quality, technology and service. From delivery through operation, the company uses standardised processes and rapid-response mechanisms. Its delivery system covers on-site implementation, operator training, completion acceptance and assessment of additional site requirements, coordinating each stage and supporting reliable tariff-arbitrage operation after commissioning.
For subsequent O&M, Hoymiles offers a 24-hour response, dedicated support and a stated 48-hour closure process for routine after-sales issues. The company says it is expanding its service coverage and can provide lifecycle service arrangements suited to different applications and customer requirements.
An equipment selection begins a relationship; long-term reliability sustains confidence. Hoymiles is bringing its solar and storage technology to more industrial sites, using innovation and professional service to address demand and create lasting value from electricity.
Across Hainan's coastal landscape and the Pearl River region, these projects continue the development of greener energy use.
