Over 20 MW across two phases: an industrial park chooses Trina again

Trina modules selected for a 6 MW rooftop-PV second phase following connection of the park's 17 MW first phase.

One industrial park, two phases of solar development, and the same module supplier selected twice.

That second decision deserves a closer look.

A new-materials industrial park in Henan has recently selected Trina Solar for its 6 MW second-phase distributed PV project, which will use the latest third-generation Vertex modules. The earlier 17 MW phase, also equipped with Trina Solar ultra-high-power modules, has already been fully connected to the grid. From the first phase to the second, and from high-power modules to the third-generation Vertex range, the cooperation continues to deepen.

A repeat order built on operating experience

For a business, an initial purchase may reflect a combined assessment of products, solutions and services. A repeat purchase is more often grounded in practical experience of using them.

As an example of greener manufacturing in an energy-intensive sector, the new-materials chemical industrial park has made rooftop solar and energy storage important elements of its manufacturing strategy, with green electricity becoming part of everyday operations. Through equipment selection, delivery and grid connection of the 17 MW first phase, the customer has had a full opportunity to assess the generation performance, reliability and service responsiveness of Trina modules. Selecting Trina again for phase two is not simply a reuse of the original design, but a decision based on the performance of the existing project.

In a sense, a repeat order is a vote for the product and service. More than specifications and promises alone, completed projects, modules in continuing operation and responsiveness demonstrated throughout the cooperation provide a foundation for trust.

Green manufacturing calls for lasting performance

PV modules must meet the requirements of project construction and withstand the demands of long-term operation. For an industrial park focused on actual returns and stable operations, a supplier's ability to continue delivering reliable products and professional service is an important factor in the decision to work together again.

If the 17 MW first phase tested whether the supplier could be trusted, the 6 MW second phase further answers whether the partnership should continue. Continuing technology improvements and the delivery of returns underpin the continuation of the cooperation.

The third-generation Vertex modules chosen for phase two use the i-TOPCon Ultra technology platform, with improvements in power, efficiency, bifaciality and low-irradiance performance. Higher module efficiency helps make more effective use of rooftop resources. Strong low-light performance supports output in the morning, evening and overcast conditions, while a lower temperature coefficient and reduced power degradation support stable long-term generation and returns.

Multi-cut cells, edge passivation and ultra-high-density encapsulation also improve shading and hot-spot resistance and weather durability, helping the modules suit the varied and complex conditions of commercial and industrial rooftops. For the customer, selecting third-generation Vertex modules is more than a product upgrade: it is a further investment in value over the project's entire life, considering both generation efficiency and long-term reliability, and both effective roof use and the overall returns behind each unit of green electricity.

Project size and module generations change; the pursuit of reliable quality and long-term value does not.

The repeat purchase offers a straightforward illustration of the relationship between customer and supplier: truly sustainable cooperation depends not on a single transaction, but on delivering value every time.
