Huaneng reports a 29% decline in PV segment profit for the first nine months of 2026
The company's quarterly report records lower revenue and net profit, with reduced domestic generation sales and settlement prices among the stated causes.
Huaneng Power International released its third-quarter 2026 report on October 27. For the first three quarters, revenue was RMB 165.849 billion, down 4.12% year on year, while net profit was RMB 7.822 billion, down 47.29%.
The company attributed the decline in net profit principally to lower domestic electricity sales and average settlement prices, together with higher fuel cost per unit of electricity sold.
From the start of the year to the reporting-period end, the PV segment recorded total profit of RMB 2.358 billion, down 29%. The wind segment recorded RMB 4.187 billion, down 10%.
