Huaye zinc-aluminium-magnesium PV mounting steel

Zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated steel is used to fabricate PV mounting structures and square or rectangular structural sections. The material combines a steel substrate with a zinc-based coating incorporating aluminium and magnesium.

Processing and application

The sections can be cut, punched and cold-formed for the required mounting arrangement. Section size, steel grade, connection details and coating specification must be selected together with the structural design.

Corrosion and structural qualification

Coating performance depends on composition, coating mass, exposed cut edges and the installation environment. Request the applicable material specification and test documentation for the proposed batch. General material-performance statements do not establish a project’s design life or structural load capacity.
