Industry overview & technical considerations
Explore stationary energy storage through its complete system: energy medium, power conversion, battery management where applicable, energy management, thermal control, protection and the project interface. A battery specification alone does not describe an operating storage plant.
Keep power in kW or MW separate from energy in kWh or MWh. Nominal and usable energy, charge/discharge limits, efficiency and lifetime need consistent conditions. Dividing energy by power gives a nominal duration only when the two ratings refer to the same boundary.
Browse residential, commercial and industrial, utility-scale and long-duration applications below. Technical coverage links to project developments, company records and available product specifications without assuming that every listed product is compatible or currently in stock.
